After the successful completion of the Tidal Men project “Channels” and spending some time focusing on playing live shows as well as concert and festival visits, it was time to return to the studio. It did not take long until the next project arrived. Wilmson asked if we were interested in producing his new solo project "Blackslide". The key and piano musician Wilmson, who originally comes from the indie sector but also has an open ear for classical music, immediately convinced us with his vision. He presented us the piano solo version of his song and gave us a rough direction, which should serve as a guideline for the completion of the song. After the piano recording with Wilmson we had all the freedom to compose, record and arrange further instruments to carry out Wilmsons original vision. The upright piano remained the basis of the entire song and got still some solo parts. Other sections were accompanied by an organ and orchestral sounds such as strings, horns, timpani, cymbals, chimes and mallets. After the production phase, we were looking forward to the listening session with Wilmson and his reaction to the result. When the song faded out and we looked at a happy face, we realized that we had fulfilled our mission and Wilmsons vision.
