Triptofrank is a one-man project with a very special sound. This special sound results due to the uncommon working process in the studio. In “Nine”, the protagonist Frank sets a synthetic and colourful sound foundation into a natural environment. This environment is composed of various organic sounds, such as swinging strings of key and string instruments, vibrating coats of bongos and other percussion instruments and various sand-filled shakers. Subsequently, these previously recorded synthetic and natural samples are arranged abstractly as if they were seen through a kaleidoscope to create a structure out of the sound variety.
