Tidal Men is a studio project made by Mountaineer Records in autumn 2016, from which the album "Channels" appeared. A surf trip to the french Atlantic coast just before the production phase could
inspire the tidal men by its beautiful colours, different moods and the interplay of rough and gentle waves, so that a lot of impressions for names, music and artwork could flow into this
project. The sound on this record falls into the categories Electronica, Dreampop and Indiepop/-rock, but also has its own facets. Streamlined and abstract beats of acoustic, programmed and
layered drums, lead, bass and ambient sounds of analogue and digital synthesizers, guitars with and without power supply and various piano styles characterize the soundscape.
The intro gives a foretaste and indicates roughly the direction in which the trip will go. In "Project 4", the floating rhythms create a special mixture of tension and serenity. "Urban Lights"
captivates with its anthemic chorus and a portion of electric guitars. "The Distance" invites you to dream with ambient pads and bell sounds. During the Song "Juno" huge clouds are forming over
the beach, "Summer Rain" refreshes with a rain shower in the heat and in "Fall" it is like immersing into the turquoise blue ocean.
